Turner Wright and Partners is an independent consultancy providing a multi-disciplinary professional service in all aspects of engineering design, from feasibility study to project design and construction supervision. The head office is located in Maidenhead. The company is a Member Firm of the association of Consulting Engineers.

The Directors, who have wide experience extending over many years of practice in the public and private sectors, are supported by professional staff, the majority of whom are members of their respective Technical Institutions.

Projects undertaken by the firm include hospitals, schools and extensive residential, municipal and commercial complexes, large industrial estates and their associated power, water supply and communication facilities.

The Firm is able to provide an independent consultancy service, which covers Project Management, Feasibility Planning, Project and Detailed Design, Preparation of Contract Documents, Tender Invitation and Analysis, Construction Supervision and Commissioning.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY AND ITS SUITABILITY TO PROVIDE SERVICES

The Company of Turner Wright and Partners (UK) Limited is an independent consultancy providing a multi-disciplinary professional service. Traditionally operating since 1972 mechanical and electrical building services consulting engineers, the Company has introduced recently project management capability to augment the traditional consulting engineering service.

The Company is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineer; the directors are all chartered engineers with wide experience developed over many years. The company has worked in sophisticated engineering and building fields, including hospitals, commercial buildings, pharmaceutical establishments, laboratories and other heavily serviced environments. This has provided a comprehensive experience over a wide variety of projects, which can be brought to bear both in new build and refurbishment/upgrade areas.

The Company has in the past undertaken both multi-disciplinary and comprehensive term commissions for the Department of the Environment, the Home Office and several Local and Health Authorities as well as in the private sector. The Company has therefore, proved to be capable and able to respond in a co-ordinated and rapid way to the requirements of the end user. In most of these cases, the Company has provided feasibility advice and scheme and detailed designs, plus comprehensive post contract works such as site supervision, preparation of “as built” drawings and user manuals, as well as formal certification for contract payments.

Private sector clients have, over many years, required their consultants to provide a project management service as well as a pure design service to free their own personnel. However, because this company has worked in both the public and private sectors, we are able to bear the disciplines associated with project management, in some cases even raising finance for the projects and arranging for operators to take over the running of completed contracts. For larger contracts we specifically employ individuals who undertake only the project management role, providing a disciplined co-ordination and direct liaison with the client.

We have available CAD and engineering computer software to handle specific design problems, and administrative software to cover management, spreadsheets, job costing, programming and word-processing.

With an office situated in Maidenhead, we feel we can respond rapidly and efficiently to client requirements.
